Transition Ministry Updates (Fall 2017)

The people of the Diocese of Central New York celebrate the following clergy calls and transitions:

Clergy New to the Diocese

The Rev. Steve White has been called to serve as the Rector of Emmanuel Church in Norwich, St. Matthew’s Church in South New Berlin and St. Andrew’s Church in New Berlin beginning July 1, 1017.  Steve recently moved from Tennessee.

 

Calls Within the Diocese

St. David’s Church in DeWitt has called the Rev. Kathy Corley to serve as Priest-in-Charge beginning September 15, 2017.

Grace Church in Elmira has called the Rev. Florence “Kit” Tobin to serve as Parish Priest beginning April 15, 2017

Church of the Epiphany in Trumansburg has called the Rev. Clark West to serve as Priest-in-Charge as of August 1, 2017. The Rev. West also serves as the Chaplain of The Episcopal Church at Cornell.

Trinity Church in Watertown has called the Rev. Barb Schmitz as Interim Rector beginning August 1, 2017.

Zion Church in Rome has continued to call the Rev. Jim Heidt as their Rector as of September 1, 2017.

All Saints’ Church in Fulton and St. Paul’s Church in Chittenango have called the Rev. Dr. Leon Mozeliak, Jr. as their Parish Priest beginning April 1, 2017.
 

Retirements

No clergy have retired since the previous Transition Ministry Update.
 

Licensed to Officiate in the Diocese

There are no clergy newly Licensed to Officiate in the Diocese since the previous Transition Ministry Update.

    Planning on going to St Paul’s, Constableville on 10/14 for the 200th Anniversary.
    Be sure to check your GPS as it is not an easy location to reach. The church is the
    only bldg on Church St (never mind the 4-digit #). and it is a side street NOT in
    heart of the town. Dick Lewis
