The holiday season may not be a time of cheer for you. Dealing with isolation? Grieving a loss? Experiencing the stress and tension that comes from a lengthening to-do list?

Many churches offer a “Blue Christmas” or “Longest Night” service during the holiday season to honor the difficulties that the holiday season can bring. Please join us for companionship and quiet at one of these services at Episcopal Churches in Central New York:

Auburn: Saints Peter & John Episcopal Church

Blue Christmas service with Healing Prayers and Holy Communion. This worship service of prayer, healing, soft music and silence is designed to be gentle and nurturing, offering peace to those who may be going through difficult times during the holiday season.

When: Monday, Dec. 18th, 7:00 p.m.
Where: Ss. Peter & John Church, 169 Genesee Street, Auburn.

Cazenovia: St. Peter’s Episcopal Church

Longest Night service. Recognizing that the holidays can be difficult for many people, we will come together during the darkest time of the year for healing and prayer in support of those whose nights are always long due to loss, anxiety, stress, or suffering known only to them. Come for your own healing, on behalf of someone you love, or on behalf of our broken world.

When: Tuesday, Dec. 19th, 7:00 p.m.
Where: St. Peter’s Church, 10 Mill Street, Cazenovia.

DeWitt: St. David’s Episcopal Church

For those of us who for any reason feel sadness or loss, join us for some companionship, community, food and faith to help release the tension of the season. Visit stdavidscny.org for details.
