To the youth, clergy and leaders of the Diocese:
The Saturday, March 24th March for Our Lives was a wonderful moment of solidarity for our youth. It was also a wonderful moment of solidarity for all those who participated—in presence or in prayer—as the nation came together to support the courage and conviction of our youth.
The March was grace-filled as, throughout the Diocese, we walked with people of all backgrounds for a common, moral purpose. I am especially grateful to our parishes who opened their doors to provide hospitality, respite and reflective space for the March participants.
In the coming days, weeks and months let us continue to work together for the safety and well-being of our schools and communities. While we continue to pursue those responses that will make a difference, we will also continue to stand with Jesus, loving our neighbors, and especially our children, as ourselves.
May your Easter season be blessed and joyous.
Blessings of peace for the journey,
The Rt. Rev. Dr. DeDe Duncan-Probe
Bishop of Central New York
