Celebrating God’s Love with CNY Pride

“One, two, three, four—all are welcome at our door!” Episcopalians and Lutherans chanted and cheered as they marched together for the first time in the annual CNY Pride parade on June 16th in Syracuse.

“In the Episcopal Church we celebrate our LGBTQ leaders, members and neighbors,” said Canon John Crosswaite, who was among those marching. “This is about sharing God’s love and recognizing God’s love in all our relationships.”

The Rev. Peter Williams, rector of Grace & Holy Spirit Church (an Episcopal/Lutheran congregation in Cortland) served as Grand Marshal of the CNY Pride Parade this year.
