Gather-Transform-Send: Watch Recorded Webinar

What is a congregation for?

One way of describing the unique purpose and work of a congregation is that a congregation gathers people into Christ’s body, the Church—a community that transforms minds, hearts, and behaviors—and sends these same people into the world to be God’s loving, liberating, life-giving presence.

This free recorded webinar (originally recorded on October 2, 2019) presents the “Gather-Transform-Send” model as a lens to look at how God is at work in our congregations, how we’re partnering with God, and how God is calling us into creativity and renewal. You’ll learn how to apply and share this model in your own congregation and ministry.

The webinar was led by the Rev. Canon Carrie Schofield-Broadbent, our diocesan canon for transitions and congregational development, and Ms. Karen Anderson and Ms. Carol Ackley, members of our diocesan Congregational Development team who have been trained through the College for Congregational Development.
