Episcopalians celebrate God’s love at CNY Pride 2022

Episcopalians prepare to march in the 2022 CNY Pride Parade.

Bishop DeDe Duncan-Probe led a celebration of Holy Eucharist at CNY Pride 2022.

Episcopalians traveled from every part of the Diocese of Central New York to celebrate God’s love at the CNY Pride Parade and Festival on June 25, 2022. The annual celebration of the LGBTQ community returned this year after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. New for Episcopalians this year was an outdoor celebration of Holy Eucharist led by Bishop DeDe Duncan-Probe, which took place in the parade line-up.

Episcopalians distributed heart-shaped stickers with the message “You are loved,” and “You are wonderfully made” at the 2022 CNY Pride Parade.

Episcopalians also distributed 1,000 stickers and paper fans bearing the messages “You are loved,” and “You are wonderfully made.”

Our presence boils down to one message: “God loves you!”

A headshot of Bishop DeDe Duncan-Probe+. Bishop DeDe is outside in front of a leafed-out, lusciously green tree in mid-summer. She's smiling at the camera, wearing her glasses, her collar and Bishop-purple shirt, a multi-colored scarf, and her pectoral cross.
