A LITTLE WATER MUSIC
Presented by Eric Machan Howd
Being a benefit for the King Ferry Food Pantry
and in Celebration of the Smithsonian Water/Ways Exhibit
On Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at 7pm, Eric Machan Howd will perform an organ concert on the United Ministry’s 1970 Möeller pipe organ. The program, A Little Water Music, will feature folk songs, classical pieces, and spiritual anthems that celebrate “water” in all its forms. This theme coincides with the Smithsonian’s traveling Water/Ways Exhibit, which will be housed at The Louis Jefferson Long Library at Wells College. The Aurora Masonic Center, and the Aurora Historical Society are partnering to bring Water/Ways to the area for six weeks, from August 17th through September 29th, 2019.
Mr. Machan Howd is currently Music Director and Organist at Jacksonville Community United Methodist Church and Assistant Professor of Professional and Technical Writing at Ithaca College. He is also a Grand Organist for the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York.
The concert will take place after the United Ministry’s Ice Cream Social, held on the church lawn, to benefit the King Ferry Food Pantry. Both events are open to the public. The ice cream social is $5 for adults and $3 for children. The concert will be free and donations to the food pantry are welcome.
