The Sophia Center for Spirituality, Christ Episcopal Church, and Winged Life Coaching present Living Compassion in a Toxic World, a three-week series with Sister Lois Barton, CSJ, the Rev. Elizabeth Ewing of Christ Episcopal Church in Binghamton, and Cheryl Lyon, certified professional life coach.

When: Three-week series presented on Mondays, March 18th & 25th and April 1st. Choose your time slot: 12:00-1:30 p.m. or 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Where: First Congregational Church, 30 Main Street, Binghamton (corner of Main and Front streets; park in the Front Street lot).
Cost: No registration required. A free-will offering will be accepted for benefit of the Sophia Center for Spirituality.

March 18th: What Gets in the Way of Compassion? Recognizing the challenges of compassionate living in day to day life. What’s “toxic” to us? What triggers us to be toxic to other people? What helps us shift to a more compassionate framework?

March 25th: Making the Shift to Curiosity. Looking at our sometimes unconscious assumptions and
beliefs; opening lines of communication with curiosity in place of certainty.

April 1st: Communicating to Connect. Communicating with compassion when we disagree; speaking
and listening with love when the going gets tough.
