Introductory meeting

Interested in the pilgrimage? Deacon Chuck Stewart will lead an introductory meeting at St. James’ Episcopal Church, 96 East Genesee Street in Skaneateles, on Sunday, March 8th at 12:15 p.m. Join us in-person or via Zoom videoconference to learn about the trip and ask questions.

Please contact Deacon Chuck at (315) 685-8578 or by email if you’d like to join the meeting by Zoom.

The total cost to attend, per pilgrim, will be about $1,200, depending on airfare. We encourage each potential pilgrim to consider fundraising through their parish and community to defray the expense.

There is a two-part registration process for 2020.

Step one: Complete the Youth Pilgrimage Interest Form to let us know you’re interested by May 1st. Please provide contact information for the young person(s) and parent/guardian (where applicable). Deacon Chuck or the Rev.  Jeanne will arrange a phone call or in-person meeting to discuss the pilgrimage prior to final registration.

Step two: Complete the online registration form [coming soon] and pay the $450 fee by June 1st to reserve your place in the pilgrimage. You may pay the fee online when you register, or pay by check, but payment must be received by June 1, 2020.

Other costs not included in registration:

  • Each pilgrim must arrange and pay for airfare (generally $600 to $800) and transportation to your local airport.
  • Lodging, meals and transportation are provided while in the Diocese of El Salvador, but each pilgrim may want to bring additional money ($50) for discretionary spending.
