You are invited to attend our 2024 Renewal of Vows service on Wednesday, February 21st , at 7 p.m. onsite at St. Matthew’s in Liverpool and online. Renewing our vows and commitments to the work of God is an important part of our communal life together. Although this tradition is normally associated with ordained persons renewing their diaconal and priestly vows, we believe that as people who share a common baptismal vow and therefore share a common ministry in Jesus, it is important that we all be reminded of our commitments to God and one another. Therefore, all clergy and lay members of our diocese are encouraged to join us either onsite or online for this important rite.

We especially hope that our wardens, vital lay leaders in our congregations, will participate in this service not only as baptized members of our diocese, but as representatives of their congregations.

Clergy can vest for this service with alb and stole, and the color is red.  The Bishop will also consecrate the Chrism and bless oil for anointing at this service. Please bring appropriate vessel(s) for transporting the Chrism and the oil for anointing.
