St. James’ Episcopal Church, 9 Williams St., Clinton, hosts the film viewing of “The Philadephia Eleven” on Saturday, May 18, starting at 5:30 pm. The film tells the story of the first Episcopal women priests. In the words of director Margo Guernsey, the documentary is about “how to break down barriers with grace, and be true to oneself in the process. And it is about standing up to institutions that do not allow all people to be who they are called to be.
