The people of the Diocese of Central New York celebrate the following clergy calls and transitions:
Clergy New to the Diocese
The Rev. Deacon Pat Kinney and the Rev. Deacon John Rohde were ordained to the transitional diaconate on December 1, 2018. Both continue in the discernment process for ordination to the priesthood. Deacon Pat continues her internship at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Ithaca with the Rev. Megan Castellan; Deacon John continues his internship at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Marcellus with the Rev. Dr. Steven Moore.
Calls Within the Diocese
The Rev. Jeffrey Haugaard has been called as rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Waterloo as of September 1, 2018, having served there as priest-in-charge since October 1, 2015.
The Rev. Kathlyn Schofield has been called as rector of Ss. Peter & John Episcopal Church in Auburn as of November 1, 2018, having served there as priest-in-charge since June 9, 2015.
The Rev. Brad Benson, the Rev. Taylor Daynes, and the Rev. Deacon Beverly J. Jones are canonically resident in the Diocese of Central New York as of November 1, 2018.
Retirements
The Rev. John (Jack) Andersen has retired.
